Welcome to XXXXX, my little creative corner of the internet!
I develouped this website to use for my digital portfolio for all the art I have created and wish to share with the world. I work in a variety of different mediums (both traditional and digital), such as painting, drawing, sculpture, illustration, graphic design, photography, and film (my medium of choice)! I also work in literary art mediums such as poetry, creative writing, screenwriting (related to my films), and lyrical work / songwriting.
Given how art in such a major
aspect my life (both as a creator and
consumer), I knew I needed to find a
way to share my work online without
catering to the algorithm overlords
on social media, so here I am! I have
always been fastinated with the Indie
Web and how versatile it is as a
medium for self-expression. I love
the creativity this platform offers me
and I'm hyped to be able to give coding
and serious web design a shot (this is
first time using CCS and HTML and
coding in general, if you have any tips,
me know)!
My belief is that EVERYTHING IS ART, it just depends on who's beholding it.
ART IS WHATEVER MAKES YOU FEEL SOMETHING... ANYTHING.
And what I want you to feel, is seen. Because you are. How often is it that we look at the world but do not open ourselves fully to experience what is in front of us? I dont mean that in a "This generation is a bunch of SCREENAGERS" way, but in a way that are we truly in touch with ourselves? Can we look in the mirror and say that we truly know the person looking back? Typically not. Even for myself.
BUT THAT IS WHY I CREATE. SO I CAN TRULY SEE. AND BE SEEN.
My art as a whole is intended to reflect sensations and emotions unique to the human experience and illustrate abstract concepts in both an IMPACTFUL and INTRIGUING way. Not just be marks on a canvas, or pixels on a screen. Not to be 'pretty' so people want to hang it up in their appartment for the aesthetic. Not to make me famous in some gallery when I'm long gone.
